Meet Lexie O'Dowd, Coached by KeelyStyle!

Meet Lexie O’Dowd, Miss Colorado Outstanding Teen 2010, coached by KeelyStyle!

Lexie O’Dowd is truly outstanding, a student at Valor Christian High School, she currently maintains a 4.1! After Lexie completes her high school diploma she plans to major in theater arts or communication to pursue a career as a News, Entertainment, or Sports Anchor.

In addition to her knowledge and achievements as a student, Lexie is also very active. As a talented dancer, she won the crown with her jazz dance to Glee Club’s version of “Don’t Stop Believing”. She can also tell you who sang the song originally and that her and her friends love to rock out to that version. In addition to her achievements in jazz, she enjoys many other types of dance as well. When she isn’t practicing her dance moves, she loves to play basketball and go for runs with her dad. An avid baseball fan, she never misses a Rockies game and can tell you anything you want to know about the sport or the stats of last night’s game.

Lexie truly represents the qualities of Miss Colorado Outstanding Teen 2010, she is very goal oriented and driven and as a result has accomplished a lot already in her life. Her legacy during her year as Miss Colorado Outstanding Teen will be the development of her own organization that helps other young girls achieve their own goals. When asked about her legacy, Lexie said,

“My legacy asMiss Colorado's Outstanding Teen will be that of a positive role model for teenagers, especially teenage girls. I would like to create an organization for girls called ‘Outstanding Girls of America’ or OGA. This organization would work in communities across Colorado to provide workshops to help young ladies find their leadership skills, inner beauty, and special gifts. I would inspire them through leadership role playing, soul searching exercises and mini talent shows. I would share with them my journey in life, recognizing that these activities and my personal touch will help these young ladies realize there is no limit on what they can achieve to make a difference in their life and community.”

Congratulations again Lexie! We know you will represent Colorado well at the National competition in Orlando, Florida in August and serve our state with pride and enthusiasm throughout your year of service!
